Workout Wednesday

It’s no secret that I absolutely love squats (and deadlifts too), and I kind of have this sick addition to working lower body.

I would probably be okay doing lower body every day but I guess it’s important to train other body parts as well LOL.

But in my opinion, squats are the beginnings of all good leg days.

Here’s a quick leg workout.  Gym equipment is necessary but you can get in and out of the gym in less than an hour, and your legs (and glutes) will be torched.

Barbell back squats:

Sets of 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 (increasing weight with each set)

Barbell Glute Bridges:

3×10

Leg circuit (complete 4 rounds circuit style):

DB walking lunges-10/leg (heavy)

Bodyweight Bulgarian split squats- 10/leg

DB Stiff Leg Deadlifts- 10 (heavy)

Jump Squats-10

The circuit portion is going to be breathless and burning.  Work hard and rest hard.

Lately, I have been incorporating a lot more high intensity circuits to finish my heavy strength sessions.

I’m not gonna lie…I’m kinda loving it.  I feel like I’m getting the best of both worlds.  I get the metabolic benefits of high intensity workouts but I’m not compromising my strength gains either.

I think I might be on to something….

Anyways, give this one a try and enjoy!
