Hi, I'm Chrissy!

Writer, Speaker, Fitness and Strength Coach, and Creator of The Body Liberation Project™

There was a time that I believed if I just lost a few more pounds, fit into a certain clothing size, or had a flat stomach or thinner thighs that I would be happy with my body.

Eight years ago, I decided to join a gym so I could “lose weight and get in shape”. My only real goal was to ‘get skinny.’  It helped that my sister joined before me and I had the extra layer of support with her in the gym too.  Eventually, I hired a personal trainer to help me reach my (in hindsight: shortsighted and unsustainable) weight loss goal: GET SKINNY

I assumed that once I lost the undesired weight, I would finally be confident enough to:

But this only led me down a path of obsessing about my body, yo-yo dieting, and trying every new fad diet plan that came on the market.

Once I lost weight, then I needed to add more curves (because body positivity is all about “loving your curves”, right?)

Once I added more curves, I had too much muscle so I should probably “lay off the weights a little.”

Then, I needed to build bigger glutes and trim my waistline so I can have the hourglass shape that is soooo desirable right now.

Just writing this all out is exhausting. No wonder so many women are burned out from trying to “fix” their body.

Here's what most people aren't going to tell you

You're NOT the problem!

Let me sip my oat milk latte and repeat that one more time for those in the back.

YOU ARE NOT THE PROBLEM!

The fitness and wellness industry is selling a big, lie to keep you feeling like you’re not good enough so they can cash in on the insecurities of women.

Yes, of course, there are many benefits of exercise and movement but that doesn’t mean the only goal possible is weight loss and “fixing” our bodies (or that weight loss even needs to be a goal)

You can feel:

It starts with deciding to stop shrinking yourself and showing up exactly the way you want NOW not when you reach a weight loss goal.

If you’re ready to TRULY feel confident and empowered in your skin, start appreciating your body at every step, and learn the steps to find peace with your body, join the Body Liberation Collective.

Working with Chrissy over the past year has completely changed how I feel about my body and about working out. As someone who has struggled with body image and fitness for as long as I can remember, working with her has been one of the best things I could ever do for myself. Her positivity, patience and toughness when it’s needed make her the best coach I could have found. She pushes me to work harder than I thought possible, but also to see my body in a completely different way. I can’t recommend her highly enough. – Jennifer
